My build has lots of ways of generating corpses and the most corpses you could possibly explode in 6 seconds is 15, which is easily attainable. It takes 2 seconds to build 5 puddles and then you are basically doing nothing for 4 seconds, and the damage doesn’t feel good with only 5 puddles. I wanted to make a shadow based Corpse Explosion build, but the cap is really frustrating. This means the max DPS for Corpse Explosion is 70% / 0.4 = 175% DPS.Īnd the max DPS for Blighted Corpse Explosion is 154% / 6 = 25.7% DPS per puddle * 5 puddles = 128.3% DPS. After some testing I found that the cast time for Corpse Explosion is 0.4 seconds per cast, and attack speed and weapon speed doesn’t seem to change this. Blighted Corpse Explosion at 5/5 is 154% damage per cast over 6 seconds. Corpse Explosion at 5/5 is 70% damage per cast. That means whenever you try to explode more than 5 corpses in the 6 seconds duration then the older ones start to despawn and disappear before they’ve gone through their whole duration and dealt their full damage. For some reason they capped the number of Blighted Corpse Explosions to 5.
